How we are paid

After the initial consultation there are essentially two ways of paying for our services.

  • Fee based advice. We agree a hourly rate of charges and we will account to you for all time spent. Before we undertake a job we will confirm to you how much we expect the job to take and if we overrun this expectation we will confirm this. Our invoice is payable within 30 days of the day of invoice and may be subject to VAT.
  • Commission based advice. We agree to be remunerated through the commission generated through financial product we recommend. We will always tell you about any commission we earn and compare this to the average payable in our industry.

Under some circumstances we may charge you a fee in addition to the commission we receive. If this is the case we will inform you before you incur any charges.

For a more detailed explanation of the way we charge for our services please refer to our About the cost of our services leaflet which can viewed and downloaded from our legal page.

Whether we take our remuneration by way of commission or fees this will be a matter of discussion and agreement, also no charges for fees will be made without prior notification in writing.

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
